The present invention relates to an adhesive composition, in particular a composition suitable for use in the manufacture of caulks, sealants, inks, coatings and flooring.
Certain organic polyisocyanates have been known for some time as curing agents for the epoxy resin systems. It is possible to formulate a variety of polyepoxide resins for a variety of end uses, and curing is usually achieved by simple heating of the epoxy resin at about room temperature, or by heating at elevated temperature. It is usually desirable to formulate inks, coatings, sealants or caulks using the same type of resin formulation that is used as a primary component in the final product so

Fluid power attenuators or dampers are used in many applications to control the rate of flow of fluid power to a device or to restrict the rate of flow of fluid power to a fluid supply. For example, such attenuators are used in a hydraulic brake booster system to control the fluid flow to a master cylinder associated with a vehicular brake system. However, a number of other applications exist for attenuators or dampers, including for example, the attenuation of a flow of liquid or gas to a liquid sump or to a collection container. For example, such an attenuator may be incorporated into a water heater for restricting the rate of flow of liquid water to a collection tank, such as a sump, or alternatively for restricting the rate of flow of gas to a gas tank.
The output pressure of an attenuator is generally adjustable. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 3,102,224 to Bao et al discloses a hydraulic attenuator including a movable plate attached to a rod-type piston. The rod is disposed within a cylinder which is filled with an incompressible fluid. The cylinder has a inlet and an outlet. A spring presses the plate against the piston. The inlet is operatively associated with the inlet of the cylinder and is also operatively associated with the piston. A cup-shaped member is carried by the rod. The cup-shaped member operates to adjust the frictional engagement between the plate and the rod. This arrangement is simple but is limited as the frictional engagement of the plate to the rod can be adjusted only by a limited number of spring-biased cups. Another type of attenuator is disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 3,386,902 to Comer.
A further type of attenuator includes a rod which is disposed within a
